Press Release Body: Hollywood---December 26, 2007---Many homes in America have at
least one or two old cell phones lying in a drawer or closet somewhere, doing
nothing but collecting dust. Many people might see these old phones as trash, but
one organization has turned them into treasure.

Hollywood Police Activities League is collecting used and unwanted cell phones to
raise money for their non-profit organization, which is a community-based crime
prevention program. The organization is asking the community to help by donating
unneeded cell phones, which can be dropped off at the Hollywood PAL office, 6501
Fountain Ave., L.A., or the PAL Karate Studio, 6411 Hollywood Blvd. This fundraiser
will continue until June 2008.

The donated cell phones are sent to Pace Butler Corporation of Edmond, Okla., a
leader in the cell phone recycling industry. Pace Butler pays for each shipment of
cell phones they receive, while ensuring that each phone is recycled in a
responsible manner and that no phone ever ends up in a landfill. The money raised
benefits a worthy cause while the environment is spared of cell phones' harmful
toxins.

By donating cell phones, the public not only helps the environment, they also may
help to save a life.

Hollywood PAL exists to provide young people with positive alternatives to gangs and
drugs. Through interaction with police officers in recreational, educational and
athletic activities, young people are given the opportunity to form healthy,
positive attitudes towards the police, society and the laws police officers uphold.

PAL is a 501 (c)(3) organization funded entirely by contributions from local
individuals, businesses, foundations and grants. They serve hundreds of children and
young adults on a weekly basis throughout the year.
